Big Years for Hollywood!!!

What is it that we find so fascinating about films? They are so popular because they compress the illusion of time. A lifetime can be lived and resolved in 2 hours. The reslolutions are experienced as brief suspensions of time and then one rests in presence for a moment. It is the ego that will not rest until it feels some resolution or some fulfillment. After the feeling passes, it immediately leaps back into existence and craves another resolution or desire fulfillment to become quiet again. This is a no-win proposition (except for Hollywood).
This is what rebirth is. People experience millions of compressed rebirths within a lifetime. Ego temporarily dissolves, then re-arises soon thereafter. It is looking for its own dissolution, but it seeks it in constant resurrection. There is always some unresolved feeling or issue to make us feel like the story is incomplete. The only way out is to realize that the only possible resolution of the story is to rest in presence, completely outside the boundaries or parameters of any story or character within a story. Then the story is truly enjoyed without identifying as the character, except to the extent necessary to fully enjoy the film. When we are fully established in that, the is no more NEED for a sequel.
(But, we can write one anyway!)
