I just finished listening to this interview fully and with no distractions. I am a bible believing faith-based follower of Jesus Christ and I appreciated the respectful way it was presented in which people of faith can consider energy healing and still remain true to their beliefs. Jesus did teach the kingdom of heaven was within us. As the proclaimed Messiah he was pressured into taking over as an earthly king to overthrow the Romans and restore Israel to political power. Jesus said His kingdom was not of this world and that it was at hand (here now) within our hearts. I have come to understand (and although I may not express it properly) what Bill was saying is that there is a greater reality that is incomprehensible to our physical senses, in fact a dimension which we are not equipped to understand without faith of some sort. I am generally disinterested when it comes to the metaphysical stuff because my faith lies in salvation through Christ- both here and in the hereafter. But this I know, He taught that with faith nothing is impossible, that Love is the highest and most important human expression most of all. In what Bill has shared, I hear faith and love given to another soul or in essence an “energy” which transcends human understanding. Another thing that impressed me was Bill’s honesty in admitting it takes effort to stay out of ego and remain a humble servant (or facilitator as he referred to it). I also believe God made us in His image and our soul is perfect in an imperfect world which I think was another point made in some respect. The eastern philosophy of holistic or “mind-body” healing makes a lot of sense. We were made with a mind and body to work together but instead we have pharmaceuticals to mask the disease rather than let our mind have the chance to do its job. Again, faith is the substance of hope in the things which we cannot see. And it is powerful stuff! My greatest teachers in this life are individuals which the world has deemed “deficient” and “disabled”. These beautiful souls have shown me what it means to be truly human and their energy always (always!) is life giving and healing for me in a world which defines the measure of a man by his intellect and earning potential. I am glad I listened to this, I have a new-found respect for what I considered at best a placebo effect. Not that Jesus isn’t #1 in my life but I can now see how what Bill does as a gift by using (or transmitting) that part of us made in God’s image to heal, as Jesus did with humility and Love.
